iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play has officially released Fury of Anubis, expanding its portfolio with an ancient Egyptian themed slot game. The new release transports players into a dark, mythologically styled underworld governed by the titular deity, combining tumbling mechanics, double-climbing prize multipliers, and a max win cap set at 10,000x the initial stake amount.

The title plays out on an expansive six by five grid layout utilizing a pay anywhere system rather than traditional line structures. Winning combinations are formed whenever 8 to 12 or more matching symbols land simultaneously in any position across the board. Lower paying symbols appear as glowing colorful gemstones, while higher paying icons include classic Egyptian relics such as scrolls, ankh daggers, pharaoh masks, and jeweled scarabs.

Whenever a winning set lands, the tumble feature clears those winning symbols from the board. Remaining icons fall to the bottom of the grid, and fresh symbols drop down from above to fill empty positions, allowing multiple payouts from a single paid spin. Positioned directly above the reels is an escalating multiplier meter. Each consecutive tumble double multiplies the active multiplier value, climbing rapidly through 2x, 4x, 8x, and higher levels up to a maximum peak of 1,024x before resetting to 1x at the start of the next spin sequence.

Landing three to six scatter symbols anywhere on the reels triggers the main bonus feature, granting ten free spins. The number of scatters collected determines the starting multiplier for the round, ranging from 8x for three scatters up to 64x for six scatters. Prior to starting the free spins, players have the option to gamble their starting multiplier for a higher level, potentially doubling it up to 256x, though an unsuccessful attempt loses the bonus round entirely. During the feature, the active multiplier resets to the assigned starting value after each spin rather than dropping back to 1x.

In select jurisdictions, players can utilize an ante bet option that increases feature trigger chances, or access several direct bonus purchase options. The game operates on a medium volatility mathematical model with a default return to player rate of 96.52%. Standard betting options span from $0.20 to $240 per spin. Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, noted that the title brings a fresh perspective to ancient Egyptian themes through its escalating multipliers and dynamic free spins round.
