Located in the property’s Sky Casino, the Sky Slot Tournament Zone features more than 40 slot machines supplied by IGT. Popular titles such as Wheel of Fortune, Cleopatra, Hex Breaker, and Stinkin’ Rich are available in both regular play and tournament modes. The machines can be switched instantly to accommodate group competitions, allowing the venue to host multiple events throughout the year.
Mohegan Sun designed the new space as a central location for its ongoing slot tournament program, offering players a dedicated environment with advanced equipment and improved capacity. Members of the Momentum loyalty program can participate in scheduled tournaments and qualify for prize pools that reach up to $50,000. To promote the grand opening, the casino introduced a special hotel package that included free slot play credits.
Casino management described the Sky Slot Tournament Zone as an important addition to the resort’s gaming floor. President and General Manager Jeff Hamilton said the facility was developed to elevate the tournament experience for regular guests while providing more value for loyalty members. The first major event in the Sky Slot Tournament Zone will take place in November with the Veterans Day Slot Tournament, offering a total prize pool of $15,000. Participants can register on-site or at designated tournament kiosks within the zone. During competitions, players are randomly assigned to machines and have a limited time to spin for the highest score, with rankings based on total points accumulated during the round.
