We’ve got some big casino news out of Sin City! Caesars Entertainment has “officially” opened Horseshoe Las Vegas with much fanfare! The transition was started late last year, and now the historic Horseshoe brand is back! And the World Series of Poker has its original home back!

The Horseshoe Las Vegas has finally opened its doors… well, officially, at least. We previously welcomed the return of the Horseshoe back in January, when the Bally’s sign was replaced with the Horseshoe’s. But now, Caesars Entertainment has made it official with a ceremony at the casino. The event featured showgirls, the legendary poker player Doyle Brunson, and Jack Binion, the gambling icon whose father was the Texas Gambler that originally owned Binion’s Horseshoe on Fremont Street.

As many of you know, the property still exists today, although it is now referred to as Binions. Back in the day, it was known as Binion’s Horseshoe, and it was the original home of the World Series of Poker! Therefore, it makes perfect sense for Caesars to bring the WSOP back home to where it all began now that the Horseshoe Las Vegas has returned. That is why they moved the event to Bally’s last year, and that is why they will be hosting the event at the Horseshoe this year, starting at the end of May.

Lastly, we would like to inform you that we will be filming on the Las Vegas Strip, beginning on Easter Sunday, April 9th. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by not realizing that Easter falls on this date. However, we will be in front of the Horseshoe Las Vegas on Easter Sunday night, April 9th, and at various spots along Las Vegas Boulevard on Monday and Tuesday, April 10th and 11th. If you are in Las Vegas during these times, you are welcome to come down and join us, even if it’s just to photo bomb us! You can check our Twitter feed to find out where we will be at which times and on which days. We look forward to seeing you in Sin City!
