We knew a few months ago that the Omicron variant was sweeping across the country. Now, after all travel is over, predictions are that we will see a rapid rise in Coronavirus cases all over the country, including Sin City, where many people rand in the New Year before boarding flights home.

This Vegas face mask crackdown has most visitors covering their faces, but moving forward things could become a bit more serious. Anyone who  wear a does not wear a mask, vaccinated or not, may find themselves on the receiving end of a state crackdown. The Nevada Gaming Control Board is now stepping up enforcement of the mask mandate at state casinos.

Enforcement actions against casinos in violation could include fines worth tens of thousands. And state business such as retail stores, restaurants, spas, and such could receive warnings, fines, or lose their business license. And while wearing a mask is a personal choice, of sorts, people who don’t mask-up may not have a good time if they find themselves on the wrong end of the Vegas face mask crackdown.
