The Gaming Control Board has some bad news for players… or good news, if you don’t mind waiting a bit longer. Pennsylvania online slots and casino games could be up and running by July.

Kevin O’Toole, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, gave the update at an hour-long hearing. O’Toole also provided updates on several elements of gambling expansion. And while the news is not surprising, it is nonetheless disheartening.

Thanks to the new Wire Act opinion, operators are revising their plans for PA online gambling. O’Toole said these changes will cause “a modest delay.”

However, when pressed, O’Toole offered did offer a more specific timeline, saying that the launch of Pennsylvania online slots “…could be as early as June , but in all likelihood, it will be July.”
