Aristocrat Gaming has released The Phantom Slot Machine, a new title based on the long-running comic book character. The game has been rolled out on the company’s Baron Upright cabinet and is now available at select Las Vegas casinos.
The slot brings “The Ghost Who Walks” to life with visuals and sound effects inspired by the original comic series. The machine includes bonus features such as Hold & Spin, free games, feature triggers, and progressive jackpots. A top prize starts at $10,000, aiming to attract both casual players and fans of the character.
The Phantom Slot Machine is currently installed at several Las Vegas properties, including El Cortez, Circa, Resorts World Las Vegas, The Venetian, Rampart, and Palms. Aristocrat has indicated that additional placements in Southern Nevada casinos are expected in the coming months.
Kurt Gissane, chief revenue officer at Aristocrat Gaming, said the company wanted to reintroduce The Phantom in a way that appeals to longtime fans while offering new players an engaging experience. He described the title as a strong addition to Aristocrat’s lineup of licensed games.
The project was developed in collaboration with King Features Syndicate, which owns the rights to the character. Jolie Roberts, vice president of licensing at King Features, said the slot machine reimagines the hero for casino players and builds on the character’s enduring popularity.
The launch is part of a broader revival for The Phantom franchise ahead of its 90th anniversary. Earlier this year, a video game adaptation was released by Art of Play Interactive, and a new comic book series from Mad Cave Studios is scheduled for release in September.
Aristocrat Gaming, based in Las Vegas and owned by Aristocrat Leisure Limited of Australia, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of slot machines. Founded in 1953, the company is known for creating some of the most popular titles in the gaming industry, including the Buffalo series. The Phantom Slot Machine joins Aristocrat’s growing catalog on the Baron Upright platform, which also features games such as Bao Zhu Zhao Fu Ignite Blue Prosperity, Lucky Looters, and Buffalo Gold Cash Collection.
With its combination of nostalgia and modern slot mechanics, The Phantom Slot Machine is expected to draw attention as it expands across casino floors in Las Vegas and beyond.
